A couple of comments, as I’ve done a few hours worth of research on this because I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy. 1) I thought I heard the doctor mention the word “adjuvant” a few times, and I’ve heard that bandied about the ‘net in terms of Squalene in the vaccine. There is no Squalene in the US version of the vaccine at present. It’s in Europe, but not here. 2) The host then focuses on Thimerosal, and the controversy about autism. There is a Thimerosal-free version of flu vaccines, just ask for the “single dose” version. Also, I believe a few of the nasal sprays are also Thimerosal free. 3) The swine flu vaccine is produced in the same way that all the flu shots have been for the past several years, and is no more or less safe. If you’ve gotten a flu shot in recent years with no problems, there’s no reason to be concerned.
Personally, I’ve already had my regular flu shot in the single dose version, and I’m getting the H1N1 in that same form ASAP. I already can’t breathe well with this child on my diaphragm, I will not be messing around with other complications.
